Chapter 3 of the workbook is the one I call the magic chapter. It is set
up in such a way that after you complete it, you will be able to actually
hold in your hands the beginnings of each chapter of your precious autobiography.
This is made even more concrete for you when you arrange these stories
in a loose-leaf binder with dividers. You would never have guessed that
this method could be so easy!

"Carol Kafka has given her students a priceless gift.
I entered her class with a vague interest in capturing my
life in print. I left convinced that writing my autobiography
might be one of the most important ventures of my life.
Now that is a teacher --someone who can inspire that kind
of enthusiasm!"

"The
most important aspects of the method for me were: 1) Right off
the bat, it imbued me with the confidence and courage to believe
that I could in fact write my autobiography; 2) The exercise where
we had to write about the turning points in our lives made me
think outside the box. I had been focusing on the one huge event
that changed the trajectory of my life, but had neglected to consider
the smaller, less dramatic events which were important in their
own right and were the basis for everything that followed."

"I
resolved and forgave a hurt that was part of me for 14 years.
Thank You."
